Your send was held: verify your domain to fix it¶
If we paused your Flashissue send, or many emails bounced with messages about DMARC, SPF, DKIM or "unauthenticated" mail, this page is for you. The good news: you can fix it yourself in a few minutes, in app.flashissue.com.
Why this happened¶
Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and other providers now reject or block email that isn't authenticated for the domain in your From address (for example you@yourcompany.com). Flashissue can send properly authenticated email for your domain, but only after you verify that domain. Until then, some receivers will refuse the mail, so we hold the send to protect your reputation and your contacts.
What to do¶
Follow Verify your sending domain (SPF & DKIM). In short:
- Add your domain in Flashissue. Open Sending Domain in the Flashissue menu (or Account Settings → Authenticate Sending Domain), enter your domain and click Submit. Details
- Copy the DNS records. Flashissue shows three CNAME records: MAIL_CNAME, DKIM1 and DKIM2. Details
- Add them at your DNS provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.). Copy each host and value exactly. Details
- Click Verify DNS. When the status changes from Pending to Active, you're done. DNS can take up to 48 hours. Details
Don't manage your own DNS? Forward this page to whoever does (your IT team or web developer).
Stuck on a record? See Troubleshoot domain verification.
Once your domain is Active¶
- Let us know or resend. Reply to our support email and we'll release the held send, or resend it yourself.
- Restore blocked contacts. Contacts hidden because of a delivery-policy block (like a DMARC block) usually have valid addresses. You can restore them: see Hidden contacts.
What this page doesn't cover¶
- Hard bounces from addresses that don't exist. Verifying your domain won't fix those; remove or correct the addresses instead. See Bounces and spam.
- Spam filtering because of content. For tips on content and engagement, see Bounces and spam.
